Sweden announces its 12-player squad for EuroBasket 2025, combining experienced veterans and promising newcomers ahead of their opener against Finland.
After a month of training camps and friendly matches against Poland, Iceland, Portugal, and Estonia, the squad for the championship has been finalized. This will be Sweden’s first appearance in EuroBasket since 2013 and the eleventh in the country’s history.
The team includes two veterans from the 2013 championship, Ludvig Hakanson and Viktor Gaddefors, while the rest of the squad makes their senior championship debut. These players have, however, formed the core of the team that helped Sweden qualify for EuroBasket over the past five years.
The squad for EuroBasket 2025 is: Denzel Anderson, Adam Ramstedt, William Falk, Tobias Borg, Pelle Larsson, Ludvig Hakanson, Mattias Markusson, Nicholas Spires, Viktor Gaddefors, Melwin Pantzar, Barra Njie, Simon Birgander.
With a combination of experienced leaders and promising newcomers, Sweden is aiming to make a strong impression in Tampere. Fans will be looking to see how the young players step up and how the veterans guide the team through the competition.

EuroBasket 2025, starting on August 27, will be the central topic of discussion in the coming period, alongside basketball transfers in Europe and worldwide.
National team gatherings across the Old Continent have already begun, and coaches have announced extended player lists, with only 12 players from each team set to secure their plane tickets for EuroBasket 2025.
EuroBasket 2025 will be hosted by four countries – Cyprus, Poland, Finland, and Latvia.
The final phase of the competition, meaning all national team matches after the group stage, will be played in Latvia, specifically in Riga, with the final scheduled for September 14.
