* On Thusrday, Queen Camilla revealed that an infestation of wasps at Sandringham has become a “terrible” nuisance. Sandringham is the royal family’s retreat in Norfolk, where they traditionally spend Christmas, and one of the many properties in [King Charles](https://people.com/person/king-charles-iii/)’ portfolio of royal real estate.
* According to [*Hello!*](https://www.hellomagazine.com/royalty/851586/queen-camilla-reveals-terrible-battle-with-summer-wasps-at-kings-norfolk-estate/), the Queen offered the comment during her solo day out at the Ebor Festival, an equestrian event she attended as Patron of the York Racecourse to open the track’s new complex. She also met Harry and Seline Silk of Knavesmire Nectar there, and added that the bees at her private home in Wiltshire have been causing problems with the way that they are swarming.
* The Queen keeps bees as a hobby at Ray Mill House and the honey from the hives is available for charitable sale at Fortnum & Mason. She’s one of several beekeepers in the royal family, as Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have also pursued the hobby.
Don’t they have a groundskeeper?
The first time I’ve had something in common with the queen 😂 I live in a US city where wasps have been out of control the past two summers. It seems to be related to climate change as wasps love heat. At home, we them alone and they leave us alone but they’ve been aggressively swarming/following my kids in public spaces like parks and restaurant patios.
Well, she’s one of the head WASP’s so it’s understandable.
Maybe if they hired actual staff at living wages instead of “employing” *elderly volunteers* they may have better luck.
if only she could do something about it?
I know another infestation of annoying pointless parasites that needs to be dealt with.
You have Henry VIII to blame.
It’s so bizarre seeing her referred to as queen. The queen to me will always be Queen Elizabeth II. I still can’t believe she’s gone. I don’t know. I thought she would live until her hundreds.
If they have a problem with WASPs they really need to take it up with Henry VIII
Is this the woman who was having an affair with a married man whose love language is “I would like to be your tampon”, living rent free using tax payer funds, complaining about her rent free home?
We talking wasps, WASPS or both?
It’s annoying when the royals pretend to have the same problems as regular people. When I had wasps in my house, my only house, the one I live in, and had to wait a few days for the exterminator, that was a real problem. Camilla is married to a billionaire and can just go to a different mansion or castle while a vast team of employees handles the wasps. Ring the bell and have a servant pack your bags, Cams.
That’s funny, I find Camilla’s infestation of Sandringham to be a terrible nuisance.
Says the adulteress sidechick whose grandma was a péripatéticienne to whom?
