Just spent 2 weeks driving through Scotland:- props to ye for marking all the bampot drivers with this yellow sticker.

  1. Seriously, I drove 1,350 miles from top to bottom and this sticker was a warning to keep an eye out for unexpected moves.

  2. They’re also a car dealer so it doesn’t show you’re renting a car – you usually spot rentals by some kind of sticker on the front windscreen.

  3. I’ll never understand why people leave this on their car, like they’re getting paid to be a mobile advert.

  4. Unfortunately, I come bearing the forsaken yellow sticker.

Mobility car dealt with through the buggers, and I honestly can hardly be arsed with getting it aff. We’ve tried, but now it just looks even worse with the edges all picked away.

Do agree, though, that lot definitely adopts the ‘I turn now, good luck everybody else’ approach.

I promise I check my mirrors and use my indicators.

  5. Its a good warning to other drivers to give them plenty of room if you are stopped behind them on an incline.

Seriously, though. The first thing I do when I get a new car is to remove any window stickers. They usually peel off very easily. Are the Arnold Clark ones superglued on?

  6. First time Scotland two weeks ago and my first time driving left. I was glad our rental had this sticker so other people knew why I was driving a little….. slower or wonky. Made it out alive tho!

  7. What a dumb-dumb thread. Clearly not thought through.

  8. I followed a car with one of these in the back window – the dealer had stuck it on the outside over the high brake light. Every time they braked the sign had a red halo.

  9. One of the pressure washers you can use at car washes will whip that thing right off. The sneaky thing is they reapply it if you go back in for a service 🤣

  10. I used them as a long term rental when I needed a car. Glad I was able to warn people off.

  11. If you drive through any town in the west of Scotland the majority of cars will have this sticker on them. It all comes down to the driver in the end, plenty of people who buy from Arnold Clark don’t fall under this category. In my experience it tends to be those cars who don’t have a sticker on them that are the ones always up your arse and trying to overtake 🤣

  12. This says nothing about the driver.

I’d say the presence of an Audi or BMW badge indicates more. The worst indicator? Bikes on the car.

This is outside of ricers mind.

  13. Wife and I were in Scotland in September 2023 and with how bad the drivers with those labels drove, I thought they were all rental cars with bad tourists driving them!

I didn’t know they were a dealer as well. Glad our car for hire wasn’t from them 😂

  14. I frequently consider it but can’t be bothered when the time comes. I loathe AC, too.

But Arnold Clark is operating a near monopoly in the Scottish market, buying up the competition, so much so it must be encroaching on competition regulations. So, I’m not sure the theory follows.

  15. They’re just showing their support for the national rugby team, Arnold Clark, who play at BT stadium where they compete for the Guinness Cup, against teams like O2 and Altrad, sometimes playing away at the Aviva, Allianz, or Principality.

  16. Back in the day Arnold Clark himself bought some of the equipment at my workplace (some big medical machines). I was very dissapointed they did not come with a huge yellow sticker in the back.

  17. The reason they drive so bad is cause they’re so pissed off they’ve been scammed by the worst car dealership out there.
