In both cases, it seems to always come back to a few fundamental beliefs positing that only *they* are above criticism, that only *they* are exempt from the law, that only *they* are entitled to the rights, freedoms, privileges and immunities guaranteed to them by the constitution, that their moral, cultural, religious and civic superiority grants them the right to be hypocritical fucking villains.
all because a black man dared to be eloquent and break everything they knew about stereotypes.
