Stopping Trump’s Dictatorship Is a Vital Message—and a Winning One – There is no electoral risk to hammering away on Trump’s dictatorial tendencies—and a huge risk to the nation in ignoring them.

Agreed
The longer the democrats go being feckless the more ideas I start spreading for tea party-like tactics in order to get candidates in that can win in red states. Run in the primary under any label you have to in order to win. Nobody send in donation money to the DNC. Find a local candidate that isn’t a fascist on either side to support.
Democrats will gladly accept any “electoral risk” that the donors are willing to pay for.
Following additional months of violence and intimidation against the Social Democratic Party (SPD), the government seized all its assets on 10 May 1933. On 22 June, they banned all Social Democratic publications and meetings, and canceled all SPD electoral mandates in both the Reichstag and the state Landtage (parliaments). Membership in the SPD was declared incompatible with holding public office or a civil service position. All over Germany, three thousand party functionaries were arrested, assaulted, tortured and confined in prisons or concentration camps. The SPD was effectively hounded out of existence.
By early July, all other parties, representing the broad German middle class, had been intimidated into dissolving themselves rather than face arrest and imprisonment. All the major parties of the Weimar Republic formally disbanded within the span of about a week: the German National People’s Party, the Nazis’ coalition partner (27 June), the German State Party (28 June), the Centre Party (3 July), the Bavarian People’s Party (4 July) and the German People’s Party (4 July).
Ensuring that the Nazi Party’s hegemony was enshrined in law, the Reich government then enacted the Law Against the Formation of Parties on 14 July 1933. It declared the NSDAP the country’s only legal political party, and mandated a punishment of imprisonment for anyone supporting or seeking to establish another party organization. The brevity of its three sentences belied the historical import of the action.

We should talk more about the future of his supporters heading to jail in orange jump suits and handcuffs.
If a president wanted to become effectively a dictator, he’d likely:
1. Purge govt of non loyalists
2. Weaponize law against opponents
3. Use military to police opposition strongholds
4. Threaten media, schools, businesses w penalties to get them to heel
5. Change election rules in his favor.
You’re going to have to move quickly. If he gets away w deploying troops in Chicago, it’s over. I don’t know what to do for you to stop him, but likeliest success would come from a national general strike.
That will take balls tho, and organization from the Democrats, so it’s not looking good.
To state the obvious. Or what should be obvious.
When the media calls a DC occupation a “crime crackdown” you know they aren’t hammering at anything.
The “crime crackdown” title is a manufactured for consent.
“Dictatorial tendencies” – media.
“I will be a dictator from day one” – Trump.
Tendencies.
Word salad, new republic titles crack me up
So now being “anti Trump” is a winning message? I thought that wasn’t good enough before? Besides, Dems have been pointing out for years that Trump is a fucking fascist dictator at heart. Nobody cares apparently.
How did this become popular? It’s been less than a year since people demanded this dictatorship. The left was ‘radical’ to point it out when it started. Are we to believe a message that was unpopular for 10 years, is suddenly a winning anthem mere months after people elected a dictator?
I’m not really sure it’s an effective message. A big part of Biden and Harris’s campaigns were Trump’s fascism and voters collectively shrugged. They are still shrugging as Trump ignores courts, tries to rig midterms, sends the military into blue states etc. It doesn’t hurt to continue to try to point this stuff out to voters, but I’m skeptical that it will actually work. On the other hand, kitchen table issues like inflation and tariffs driving up prices also aren’t seeming to move the needle much either so I really don’t know what’s required for people to wake up. Maybe just more time.
Given how uninformed/uninterested so many voters are in specifics, it’s presumably a lot easier to get them engaged by pointing at what he’s actually *doing* and saying “let’s fight this” rather than gesturing in his direction and saying “if he gets in he’ll do bad things”. Yes most people here fully knew what he’d do, but plenty of people didn’t listen/believe/care. Now things are happening more people are taking notice. Fingers crossed it’s not too late.
MAGA calls him daddy. America has huge problems.
Good. Great. Let’s see the media apparatus do more of that and less of who the fuck is leading in 2028 polling.
Why haven’t any national media outlets called for his resignation?
And the Sheep American public doesn’t Fucking Care! Phones, tweets, TV and fat stomaches is all the Sheep citizenry cares for. The Nazi GOP {Gang Of Pedophiles} wants the American public, Stupid, Starving, Stupid and Dead!☠️
Please provide the evidence if what he has FORCED you to do? What Dictatorial thing’s he’s done that have forced all of us into prisons, taken away our freedom of speech, freedoms in general, injected into your body or be fired?
Trump probably getting advice by Putin on how to become Dictator of the US.
I know Harris wasn’t the best candidate but they did try and focus on how much of a danger Trump was during the election.
People either didn’t believe or didn’t care.
The media is captured. They’re not going to help
> Stopping Trump’s Dictatorship Is
… a bit late.
