Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk returns as everyman assassin Hutch Mansell in Nobody 2, a sequel that finds him juggling family life with his violent past. Seeking normalcy, Hutch takes his wife and kids on a vacation to a small-town amusement park, only to face new enemies in unexpected places.
“This spry, action-packed sequel carries over both the strengths and weaknesses of 2021’s Nobody,” writes The Prague Reporter. “There’s plenty of fun to be had here, especially for fans of the original.”
A weekend getaway spirals into romantic chaos in Splitsville, a screwball comedy that follows four friends through breakups, reconciliations, and a house-demolishing brawl. Directed by Michael Angelo Covino, who co-wrote and stars with Kyle Marvin, the film also features Dakota Johnson and Adria Arjona.
🇨🇿 Czech Films in Focus
A trio of Czech pro-Russian apologists travel from Prague to Kharkiv in Change My Mind (Velký vlastenecký výlet), a new documentary by Robin Kvapil. The film captures their reactions to first-hand accounts of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, from survivors in Kharkiv to mass graves uncovered after occupation.
The Prague Reporter says that Change My Mind is “a devastating snapshot of the times we are living in.” The documentary is now screening with English subtitles in select Prague cinemas, including Kino Atlas, Kino Světozor, and Kino Aero.

John Cena returns as the brash, foul-mouthed antihero in season 2 of Peacemaker, which picks up after the fallout of the first season’s alien invasion. This time, Peacemaker stumbles through interdimensional portals left behind by his late father, crossing into a universe where everything seems “fixed”—until his meddling creates new chaos.
With James Gunn steering the DCU and Frank Grillo joining as Rick Flag Sr., the story expands in wild new directions. The first episode of Peacemaker season 2 is now streaming on HBO Max, with new episodes dropping on Thursdays.
Nearly twenty years after becoming a global headline, the Amanda Knox story is revisited in The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, a dramatized limited series from This Is Us showrunner K.J. Steinberg. Grace Van Patten stars as Knox, charting her wrongful conviction for the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher and her years-long battle to clear her name.
Knox herself serves as an executive producer alongside Monica Lewinsky. The first two episodes of the eight-episode series are now streaming on HBO Max in the Czech Republic, with new episodes releasing on Wednesdays.
