Unless you are in temple bar then Dublin is probably cheaper and that’s not something I ever thought I’d say.
Belfast has been more expensive than Dublin for a good while now.
Just stay home and drink. Fuck these greedy cunts.
You’d need £300 to bring a bird on a date in Belfast these days
Too few folks own the bars. Easy to have a cartel like impact.
We need our licensing laws reformed in short order.
But the puritans folks keep electing ain’t in no rush.
Been in town once this year. End of January, took the wife up and stayed the night. Probably cost upwards of 500 quid. Fuck that! I can get a wknd in spain for less.
7.20 for a pint of Menabrea in White’s! Nah, I’m not havin that.
Fuck Belfast and its cartel of bar owners!
Peroni too for insult to injury.
These are the same places that will be yapping when they say they aren’t able to keep the doors open. £14 for two pints, is it any wonder, you can get 12x330ml bottles for £4 more…..
I hope they at least came full up.
You don’t see too many locals in Temple Bar and that’s because we all know Temple Bar is designed for tourists.
People need to start understanding and thinking about Belfast City Centre in the same way, particularly the Cathedral Quarter
Those bars aren’t for us. We’re not the target demographic. The target is rich Americans and Brits on stag dos.
I paid £22 for 3 drinks (2 Hophouse and 1 Magners) in the Jeggy Nettle a couple of weekends ago. The week before that I’d paid £23.80 for 3 pints in Wembley Stadium. Make that make sense.
I thought the points was bad enough 6.80 for a pint a peroni/asahi
Anyone that charges over £7 a pint should be ashamed of themselves, especially for an establishment that’s not even in the fucking city centre!
The Bowery has become an absolute ripoff. Used to like going but after two pints costed over £14 I’ve sworn off it. I walk past it regularly and it looks like most other people have too.
Pity, as it is quite a lovely bar.
If you go to notoriously expensive pubs you’ll pay notoriously expensive prices
Annoys the fuck out of me when these cunts are crying about struggling or about people not going to bars etc. Make it affordable and stop being fucking greedy
