Well given that he was released from Lebanese custody before the trial and is now in hiding, it certainly appears there was some coordinated effort to get ensure he didn’t face any consequences.

It’s possible, but you can’t really trust what Israel says nowadays, as they lie so much. During the 1970s, Israel has also supported paramilitary groups in Lebanon who also killed Irish peacekeepers intentionally.
Member last year when ‘israel’ repeatedly attacked irish troops stationed in Lebanon? Including firing tank shells into their outposts? Wonder why they’re so interested in our troops safety now

Baffling that Ireland seems so keen to continue with this mandate whilst at the same time Lebanon has done sweet FA to bring the murderers to account. Ireland should have put a much harder squeeze on Lebanese to sort this or risk a high profile abstention from a UNIFIL nation. Missed opportunity.

Ah yes, Israel, famously honest and transparent with information and in no way emotionally manipulative I met a Lebanese taxi driver in Sydney a few years back. The minute he found out we were Irish his whole attitude changed. He couldn’t speak any higher of his love for the Irish and how the peacekeepers over there are so respected by the locals. Israel has a vendetta against us and they hate that we have a presence in a neighbouring country and they’d do anything to try sabotage that including false flags.
