I won’t step foot in the state – and a handful of others if I can help it.
For some reason, their new tourism motto “More Nazi Than Trump” just isn’t attracting people to visit.
Hope so
Damn, that’s crazy. Good luck though.
The North Remembers.

And most Florida residents are happy. Oh well, we’re not at 120% capacity for tourism only 90%. Some low wage people will lose their jobs and there will be less traffic and less bullshit to deal with. Florida still has over a $7 billion budget surplus and that’s after factoring in the state run insurance program. Florida will be just fine. I don’t think anyone is shedding tears for the oceanfront condo owners that are having the massive HOA reassessments. The rest of us will take tourism down that’s 30%, the state is still overcrowded with tourists and too many people permanently moving down here every day.
It’s not just one state. Look at Gen Z’s unemployment numbers. That’s who would typically be filling up beach towns this late in the summer more so than families with kids in school or headed back to school.
AI and offshoring have destroyed the less experienced end of the white collar job market. People talk about tariffs but they haven’t even kicked in yet. Prices are very similar to a year ago for most things.
Once you see the college grads at Chik-Fil-A like in the financial collapse we’ll know for sure we’re headed into a recession
You couldn’t intentionally curate a better image of a raging garbage dumpster fire. This just came about organically. Come to sunny Florida!!
Every state is down bad this year because people don’t want to vacation in the US and US citizens can’t afford vacations
Not the FL beach towns I went to…
Any “ghost town prices” yet? Wouldn’t mind picking up something on the beach.
Canadians are fleeing and we won’t ever come back.
Once Florida (and some other states) start being adults again, I’ll support their tourist industries. Until then?

It can’t have anything to do with the fact that it’s hot as hell and that definitely can’t have anything to do with climate change because that doesn’t exist because my daddy told me that’s what Mr. Trump said.
Florida heat is brutal in the summer. Thats why people dont go. Not to mention everything is a rip off now
I just got back from Disney and it was fucking packed. There was so much demand that our flight from a shitty Canadian city got bumped from a 737 to a 787. And the hotel we were at was 95% full and 80% of it was foreigners according to one of the cast members I asked.
Florida will be just fine despite the echo chamber doom and gloom.
How long until DeathSantis starts crying for some socialism (ie, blue states Federal tax dollars)?
Cry me a fucken river
FOREVER
Okay 30% is not good but it’s not catastrophic…right?
Can’t afford groceries so why would we afford a vacation?
Most likely because it’s a maga state.
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Fuck Florida
I cancelled my vacation to Florida, this year. What I spend is just a drop in the bucket but I will spend my money elsewhere. I am trying not to participate in the economy. I spend what I have to. Since this administration is not listening to my voice, if enough people quit buying, companies that have purchased my government, will have to start being heard by the orange idiot.
Just to add – I support my small business in my area and will continue to do so.
I’ll never go back there if I can help it
