I thought that the Tories said that was just a pathetic technicality that Starmer used as an excuse when he was filmed having a bottle of beer?
Does that mean we could all of gotten smashed if we said it was work related? Or does it only count if someone’s leaving or a birthday?
Or is it just in Downing Street when a PM pulls a pint?
Man these COVID lockdown rules were trickier than I thought!
Yes he did.
Repeatedly.
Trying to play it down or accuse teachers, nurses etc of getting pissed AT work after shifts or other whataboutism is disingenuous and shameful.
And, if as stated going to now claim an implied unadvertised and patently manufactured exemption to hide his failures, shows the utter desperation and contempt the man and his party has for the people they were allegedly elected to serve.
The Tory Party harping on about us being at war when we are not and our need to move on as there are allegedly more important things to get done are for all intents and purposes supporting him to avoid having to elect another less charismatic fuckwit to do all he (Boris) can be trusted to do on his own, namely, basic admin.
Because, cunts.
I posted this on another post:
“Says the party supporting a lying law breaking, criminally corrupt incompetent adulterous sleaze ball.”
As long as the party completely supports the lying then nothing will change-
The liar, will lie.
He knows he did, even if he wants to claim he did not. He wants to pretend it was not a party, even though there were drinks and cake (which any five year old will tell you is a party). There was an exemption regarding contact with work colleagues, that did not include parties and he knows it. You cannot just claim something was a meeting and hope that makes it so, he may have fooled the public so many times before but he has played that hand one too many times and now no one is biting.
Am I so out of touch?
No, it’s the independent enquiry, the report and the police who are wrong.
I really hope Labour challenges his statement by asking: if he didn’t break the rules why was he fined? And if the fine wasn’t right, why did he pay it?
The more they bullshit the worse they look. At some point things become obvious even to the stupidest of voters
Stamer is going to absolutely ream Johnsons ass tomorrow. Can’t wait. Shame the general public will only get the heavily edited BBC soundbite version.
Indeed. After all, we mustn’t forget that besides his duties as PM, Johnson is also a highly respected cake and alcohol taster. He simply thought he was trying stuff out for M&S again.
Fine, then why isn’t he resigning for being repeatedly drunk while working during an international crisis?
So, he’s going to lie to his MPs? We already know he thinks the rest of us are stupid since be keeps lying to us, but he thinks his MPs are stupid as well? I suppose he’d be right if he does.
How is it that after decades of watching Corporations and Politicians lie and getting caught at it and then the results if A) they lie or B) to speak honestly, explain, not shy away from faults and admit … best worked for Tylenol and some politicians …. might be worth a try again as it tempers the blow back.
Well if there was always an exemption for work where is it documented in the laws Boris and his 358 MPs voted for? Before they published and communicated the lockdown restrictions on parties. It should be written down clearly in black and white in parliamentary records.
I guess though that he could always retrospectively introduce such an amendment to the legislation. Suella Braverman MP, Brexiter Attorney General and Boris supporter, is sure to authorise such a move. And he has an 80 seat majority to see it through parliament.
What is it their crony cunts usually tell the working class? Accepting a fine is an admission of guilt, and consequences will be given. Why does he still have a job?
He’s got an important job to do, not piss about with this pathetic shit.
pity he cant be given a fine for contempt of court.
