It’s missing my favourite lighthouse – North Queensferry
There are a LOT missing from Shetland alone!
Missing inchkeith in the forth for a start
I can see one from my living room windae
Iv been to number 7
Cloch lighthouse between Gourock and Inverkip is missing too
There’s a lighthouse maintenance job that comes up from time to time, I would be happy just going around servicing lighthouses
My mum used to like testing our eyes to see if we could see #7 from a particular road in the East Neuk on the way to my grandma’s. It’s like a tiny pinprick on the horizon. I still can, in my 30s, and she still can in her 60s though she’s got reading glasses now. I don’t think either sibling can see it.
Just went surfing in front of 4 yesterday. It was the prettiest surf spot I’ve been to on the east coast. Also had a great view of Tantallon Castle
Anycunt went to see them all?
It’s a good side quest.
The coasts are pretty saturated so we need to start moving them inland. That’s an untapped market
If you want to go really mad with it, get the Admiralty List of Lights for all of Scotland.
A quality read that will absolutely crush any insomnia you may have.
I suppose it has to start and end somewhere, but any reason why they chose the Rhins of Galloway as first and last?
Edit: could it be because the Mull of Galloway is the southernmost point of Scotland?
