As far as propaganda leaflets go, this one is interesting. Historically, when done by a defending nation, they are about futility of enemy’s cause, a plea to stop pointless fighting and go home, some stuff about the safety of ruling class contested by the miserable daily life of a grunt, that stuff.
This one is absolutely not about it. This one is a statement, a pretty cold and ruthless – you came to our land and we will kill you, we don’t want to but you force us to do it. Noticeable in its absence the lack of any plea or expressed desire for invader to leave.
I have no degree in phycology or military psyops but I personally don’t think it is an effective leaflet for reducing enemy willingness to fight. It is, however, a very solid statement ‘we will kill you’, which might shake some people.
Overall very curious piece of military leaflet propaganda.
