Türkiye reaffirms commitment to supporting peace process between Russia, Ukraine

Türkiye has reiterated its unwavering commitment to fostering a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

A senior official from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed this stance, emphasizing Türkiye’s readiness to extend comprehensive support to all initiatives aimed at advancing the peace process, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

In response to inquiries regarding the latest developments in conflict resolution efforts and the prospect of new negotiation rounds between the involved parties, the foreign ministry representative affirmed, “As Türkiye, we emphasize our readiness to provide comprehensive support to the peace process at every opportunity.”

The official further underscored that Türkiye’s position on this matter “remains unchanged,” signaling continuity in Ankara’s diplomatic approach amid fluctuating regional dynamics.

On July 23, Istanbul hosted the third round of direct negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian representatives concerning the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has consistently affirmed his commitment to not only facilitate ongoing dialogue between the delegations but also to convene a summit involving the heads of state from both conflicting parties.
