Members of the Royal Family were in attendance at a Sunday service at church near the Balmoral estate yesterday, August 24. King Charles and Camilla were pictured arriving at the service, the Prince and Princess of Wales were also pictured arriving in a separate car.
Nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Balmoral has been the cherished home of the British Royal Family since 1852. The Royal Family traditionally visit the estate over the summer. The small Church of Scotland parish kirk is their regular place of worship when they are at Balmoral.
William, 43, was driving the vehicle and Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, sat in the backseats. Princess Anne was also pictured arriving to the service in a different vehicle.
Steering away from her traditional brunette hair, Princess Kate was pictured with a new look. She has changed her hair colour to a gorgeous blonde colour, different and much lighter than her usual style.
Prince William wore a black suit, white shirt and blue tie. The princess wore a black hat with a maroon jacket and purple top for the church service. She recently made public appearances at world-famous Wimbledon tennis tournament.
Kate, who is patron of the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club presented the winner’s trophy at the conclusion of the men’s on July 14. Dressed in purple, Kate was seen at the Royal Box with her daughter, Princess Charlotte.
Her Royal Highness was diagnosed with cancer in late February, 2024. She postponed her scheduled public appearances after she underwent planned abdominal surgery in January last year.
When the Princess had her surgery it was initially thought it was non-cancerous. The Princess confirmed she was diagnosed with cancer during tests after the operation and started undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
She completed her treatment in September last year and announced in January she was in remission. She said: “I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year. My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything.
Princess Kate confirmed the news her treatment had finished in a video filmed in Norfolk in August 2024. In the video, she was joined by her husband, Prince William, and three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Princess Kate opened up on how tough the last nine months have been for the whole family.
She said: “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family.
“Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
