Few people are even paying attention to what these grifters are selling, they’re just all about hating the current political class
Easily manipulated by the right wing media.
I’m not for private healthcare thank you
Honestly at this point, the damage him.and his supporters have done to this country and want to continue doing, they should be locked up.
Does anyone else dislike these comics? I might agree with alot of them but the way they use weird features and looking stupid to show a point instead of just the actual facts just…. rubs me the wrong way?
I imagine it’s those romantic dewy eyed types yearning for those sunlit uplands that Brexit promised
My guess would be a lack of a better option
Propaganda got working people siding with their masters! and hating on fellow strugglers and workers. Immigrants aren’t the problem. The tax avoiding companies, billionaires and the corrupt political system is the problem.
Although I wish it weren’t the case, the seemingly inexorable rise of Reform feels like proof positive that violent history is doomed to repeat itself.
Anyone pro Reform reading this, maybe you think it’s condescending and maybe neo-liberablism and capitalism has collectively failed a large part of social but ask yourself this:
Does your party encourage you to dislike other people you’ve never met directly?
That’s how you know you are the bad guys.
It’s not about xenophobia. It’s about people coming here and using facilities like the NHS that they have never paid for, and getting free accommodation and food when they already had a safe haven on mainland Europe.
Too busy living my life. Providing for my family to be rage baited by the media. Sorry Nigel.
Immigration remaining unaddressed by all the other parties is about the only reason reform has support
Centrism has fallen unfortunately, they have fought the left on REFORMs behalf for a decade now.
Centrists in a cult like manners have held on to continuity austerity.
REFORM like reFUK with Brexit are going to offer unicorns for immigration cuts.
This depthcharges centrism as it’s a vibes based discussion.
Regardless of whatever “policy” Farage claims to have cooked up, his whole schtick is to wait for whoever is in charge to announce something and immediately go “it’s not working and the great British people deserve better! And they can receive better for just 12 monthly installments of £8.99!”
He doesn’t want to be prime minister, as that means scrutiny on where/how he gets his money and it also means that he’d have to put his ideas into action while others do to him what he’s been doing to successive governments for the past 15+ years.
He’s happier to be paid to sit on the sub bench, saying “I’d have scored 100 goals in that match,” than to get on the pitch and try
Genius. I love Ben Jennings – he always nails it and cuts through to the truth.
We know what Farage are Reform are like. The real problem are the groups being complicit
Labour is culpable for constantly pandering to the far-right. For cowering in front of Farage rather than challenging him and calling him out for what he is.
For not having the courage to stand up for common decency and human values
The BBC is culpable for constantly reporting about small boats out of fear of being accused of having a leftist bias
The Tories are culpable for lowering themselves into the gutter. Braverman and Kendrick should be ashamed for some of their false, hateful, xenophobic rhetoric
It’s really important to remember that Hitler never actually had the majority. The majority of voters were originally opposed to the Nazis. (Which doesn’t diminish the fact that pretty much every one in Germany was complicit in the end)
It’s the other parties that helped him in and were willing to form a coalition with him – out of selfish self-interest – that are as much to blame as the man himself and his followers
It’s gonna be so funny when reform wins
My guess is immigration.
Denmark has already showed how to defeat the far rjght.
Are sovrinty, are cuntry and are soles.
The amount of people who are happy to lose their benefits, the NHS, free school meals and every other thing they rely on to eat is astounding. But at least they will get to watch videos of brown people crying to keep them warm and fed.
We are looking at a potential replay of the US unless something changes. The alternative horrifying the Left and just being so unaspiring for the Centre that the Far right can get in though a broken voting system with a relatively small group of resists and idots who don’t know that what they are voting for.
This is what happens when you defund education and then those kids get to voting age.
The good thing is they eventually win, becomes the establishment, fails miserably and got back into oblivion.
Unless they stage a coup and take control of everything.
*cough*
Anyways, people should migrate to somewhere because they like the local culture or got a new job. Refugees in uncontrolled droves overwhelm any social security. Specially when culturally aren’t willing to adapt to their local realities.
Not me, but the oligarch-mlowned media and Russian propaganda on social media is a huge reason
“People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can’t trust people, Jeremy.”
Will preface by saying I’m not a Reformer by any means, vehemently object to almost all of their views and policies, but…
The working class are understandably disillusioned by the two main parties, and want a change. Media is mostly right-wing, so the success and benefits of the left-leaning parties isn’t reported, despite being a more suitable fit for the working class.
That, coupled with the culture war that’s been raging on instead of the more appropriate class war that’d be of detriment to those who own the media, largely explains Reform’s success. To working folk exhausted from their brutal day at work just looking to unwind, the telly says socialism=bad, and the telly knows best. Last thing they want to do after an early start/late finish is comb through every party’s manifesto in turn… They’ll just listen to the telly, which tells them Reform is on the up-and-up without mentioning the left-wing counterpart. Why should they if Reform and Rupert Murdoch have the same interests?
Labour, the alleged party for the working class, have completely fumbled this open-goal the Tories offered them on a silver platter…Some may say Starmer’s cabinet showed their true colours (blue perhaps)…We knew why not to trust the Tories, but the last year has made us ask why we should trust Labour too.
Kier is practically rolling out the red carpet for this cunt. His version of Labour are too evil for anyone with a conscience to support but not evil enough to steal any of the votes away from this fraudster.
Keir’ll try to censor Wikipedia and mental health support online and let the Nazi keep his TV channels. I know the mass online censorship as something the Tories started but the idea of getting labour in wasn’t for them to just continue as if the Tories were still in charge.
Kier is obviously better than Nigel but it feels like more of a betrayal because the moment Nigel appeared in the public eye he made it clear he was one of the worst bastards to ever live but I stupidly hoped that after years of Tory government, labour might do something better.
in the good times (read: huge debt increasing years) the tories played an amazing trick on the working class. We were earning very normal mid level wages and but banks allowing them to borrow massive amounts of money for houses at a very low interest rate and also rent their brand new car on their drives so they felt rich, you watched your mates doing it first so you alos did that cos Dave has done it … or have you seen what Belinda is driving ? – so the working class felt like they had risen to the middle class. But, now in the hard times people actually realise they are not the climbing to riches they thought they were .. they are now upset with being hoodwinked – as the human attitude pendulum swings
Not saying I’m a fan, but my take…
I don’t think their voters are racist as such. The majority are moderate people who would treat all people the same on an individual level. But on a larger scale, people are watching their country and culture transform before their faces. Ever since I’ve been able to vote, it feels like people have been trying to say ‘less immigration please’ but instead successive governments have done the opposite. And whilst doing the exact opposite of what people want, people in ivory towers and posh areas have been telling them that they’re bigoted and how fantastic multiculturalism is. It’s hard to believe in cultural enrichment because of the food options on offer, when you’re being called ‘kafir’ by groups of young lads speeding down the road . When your teenage sister has her vagina grabbed whilst running for a bus and every man stood around is laughing and jeering. When your kid is one of only two children who speaks English in their class and even their teacher is ESL. When groups of lads are cruising around the nightlife areas perving on girls and shouting homophobic remarks. When your school friends are telling you that they don’t want to wear a burqa or niqab when they are older, but they know that they’ll be forced to.
People are now at a stage where they’re willing to overlook reform’s flaws because they’re the only party who seem to want to address their concerns. Realistically it will probably not change much.
Those on the lowest of the ladders essentially feel seen and heard by these charlatans but it doesn’t take much to see the strongest supports for Reform are the billionaires thanks to the slashing of CGT and other tax reforms for the wealthy, but somehow this banker cosplaying as the Everyman has conviced people again that he’s there to help the worst off in society
Not a supporter, but my mum does make a decent argument. If reducing immigration is something you actually want to happen, there are about two parties (GRN, LIB) you wouldn’t expect to want to, and two parties that have both said they would before and didn’t (LAB, CON), so who else is left to try?
We have to keep our arguments rhetorical to prevent falling out, but given two thirds of British people believe immigration is too high it almost feels like a logical statement that people are going to be interested in voting for them. There’s a reason analysts are assuming they’ll get the most votes now.
However the best informed of my friends believes that it’s all a bit precipitous. Reform started off with too much success and they don’t have the candidates with the right skills in the slightest. It’d be 28% of the vote today, but each time one messes up and says something abhorrent, or just fails to turn up to work, that’s one area now poisoned against them. Then you’ve got Yourparty. They won’t be taking donations and JC was always surprisingly willing to compromise, not that anybody believed him at the time. The simple quota system has always been rejected because it prevents MP’s selling their influence in the form of visas to ‘attract investment’ but there’s no reason to leave it off the table if you aren’t shilling. They could change the mind of some moderates as long as they accept the reality. Then there’s what’s happening in the USA as Farage is tarred with Trump’s brush and can easily get feathered with him. A GE is still years away, and not everyone even lives in areas with lots of migrants, or minds them when they do.
I’m more concerned about the state of the rivers by quite a lot, and while I believe we all owe JC a vote just to balance the fact he specifically has never experienced a free press even while trying to become PM, I’ll be voting based on whoever has the best chance of stopping the river pollution.
The thing is keep hearing is, “well they are different” or “they want to change things”. The reality is people are so desperate for change they would vote for a party that openly tells them it will make them poorer and they will be happier for it
Starmer:An asshole. Rewriting UK history for the worst (Defended Savile)
Farage: Too extremist. Wanting to make the UK too American
Corbyn: Will probably do the same as starmer or worse. (IRA sympathiser)
Atp im putting my vote to count binface. This entire country is fucked
Probably the fact that every other major political party has absolutely failed the country in every way 🤔
At this point, I think they’re just trying to destroy the country as much as possible
🇬🇧
People are upset about record levels of illegal immigrants arriving by boat. That plus record legal immigration over the last few years. Then you have the inconsistent jail sentences, blasphemy laws, the national flag being taken down, higher taxes, The Online Safety Act … many people have just had enough of mainstream political parties.
I’m assuming you guys understand and are just pretending not to
Can call me racist all you like, I am all for immigration, I’m just not for illegal immigration.
Obviously people haven’t learned from history And previous religious wars.
Illegal immigrants are driving the popularity of this loon.
Illegal means illegal. Regardless of ethnicity, race, religion or creed.
And when elderly people and millions of other Brits are falling through the system’s cracks, not receiving the help that these illegals are, it riles up frustration.
“They’re still human. Doesn’t matter if they’re illegal or not . Show some compassion”… You’re right. Let’s rip up our passports and try go on holiday or live somewhere else.. you first though. I’ll keep mine just in case your plan doesn’t work.
People don’t like the idea of becoming a minority in their homeland. No other country would accept that.
This is intensified since we know most of these immigrants are extremely conservative / extreme in their political views. That can be helped by integration but that’s near impossible at the rate at which we’re accepting new immigrants (illegal or legal). I think most people would be willing to accept a reduction in their standard of living to maintain the status quo.
People want change, that’s really it. Even if it’s replacing one problematic group (the current political class) with an even worse group (rich fuckers and fascists) people are angry at the situation of being stuck.
I can understand that much – but falling for the xenophobia is too much. We can want change and hope for better but please don’t vote in the guy with a party of criminal convicts and nazi sympathisers. It will not get better like that. It will get much much worse.
