In a telephone conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi briefed his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, on recent diplomatic engagements with senior officials from the United Kingdom, Germany, and France regarding the Iranian nuclear program.

According to a statement released by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the discussions focused on the status and potential developments in multilateral efforts to resolve outstanding issues surrounding Iran’s nuclear activities, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

“The Iranian Foreign Minister delivered an in-depth account to Lavrov outlining the outcomes of his recent telephone consultations with counterparts from the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, focused on resolving matters related to the Iranian nuclear dossier,” the ministry noted.

The Eurotroika—a reference to the three European signatories of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)—has played a central role in nuclear diplomacy with Tehran. Recent tensions over Iran’s nuclear enrichment levels, combined with regional instability and US policy shifts, have renewed efforts to revive or reform the agreement.

In addition to nuclear matters, Araghchi and Lavrov also reviewed upcoming diplomatic engagements. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the conversation included a discussion on “the schedule of upcoming contacts at various levels, primarily at the highest level.”
