    She also refuses to recognise a Palestinian state.

  8. That’s a valid concern. The issue is, where would Palestinians be sent back once they’re treated? Once they leave the west bank, it’s practically impossible for a Palestinian to enter again unless they’re dual citizens.

Nordics appear to be discovering the constraints of the high welfare-social justice model and have, sensibly for those who are already within those countries to whom governments necessarily owe the first duty, begun to act to prevent the unfettered expansion of the welfare absorbing population. Some forms of expansion are unavoidable, but others aren’t and avoiding unforced errors like this is obviously useful.

    Better times ahead for the Nordics!

  14. This is the right move for Denmark. There is no benefit taking them in indiscriminately, only costs; from crime, to welfare, and social upheaval. Only those that can be a net benefit can be allowed in and any that commit crimes should be subject to immediate deportation.

  17. Danish PM Mette Frederiksen attacked a journalist for asking question about the about the many victims:

    “I must admit that you are helping to put into perspective something that is not comparable. It is Hamas, a terrorist organization, that is attacking a democratic country, Israel. And Israel has the right to defend itself, and that will mean some victims. It does not bear any comparison.”

    She is a pos genocide supporter insisting that we continue delivering weapons to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, despite being against the Geneva Conventions.
    Her only “quality” is that many of our politicians are even more racists and fascists. 3 of our political parties are as extremists as AfD in Germany.

  18. They are correct. Pay for their treatment in one of the nearby countries with excellent healthcare like Saudi, UAE, Turkey.

    The main reason why their advocates would like them to receive treatment in the west is purely because they know they will be able to stay permanently. In addition to that, family reunion policies and article 8 will allow large families to travel to the country they claim asylum in.
