Also he wants to duplicate existence law specifically for “banderism” which already covered in existing anti- communist anti-fascists criminal law. Also he forgot to explain how eldery and young people suppose to work to cover social payments.
I hate Nawrocki but I agree that Ukrainians should be treated the same as Poles in that matter, so they should work to receive 800+, just like Poles have to.

At first glance, this statement is perceived as if it were enough to have resided in Poland for 3 years. I didn’t know the requirements for Polish citizenship. Then I found out that it’s “3 years based on a permanent residence permit” in fact. To get a permanent residence permit you need to have lived in Poland for 3 to 5 years beforehand too? So in total it’ll be equal to 15 years? That’s insane.
I’m a foreigner living in another EU country for 7 years too, and slightly more than 1 year left to apply for citizenship. But I can’t trust the government’s attitude towards foreigners that much because they play with the Aliens and Citizenship Acts at unexpected times. It’s obvious that most of the EU countries are in favour of tightening their permanent residency and citizenship requirements.
Honestly Ukrainians should pay 800 zl for priviledge of being allowed to live in Poland, that graciusly allowed them to come here. Dont like it? Go back

I think a lot of people miss the point here. Even not by going to economical or moral issues of this. When Brexit was happening and was confirmed as a pole I immediately left the country because I am not going to pay big taxes to support the government that does not want me. I wanted to set life there and was ready for mortgage but that was it. Call me too proud…
Edit: I don’t think Brexit was targeting immigrants like me but apparently limiting the unemployed benefits etc. In reality the got more immigrants from outside of EU and their economy just got worse. I and people like me have left the country.

Honestly the cutoff of benefits is far from the worst thing Nawrocki supports. He also wants to make it far more difficult to become a Polish citizen (at a time when Poland’s own birth rate has cratered and the population is declining), and he hasn’t signaled any commitment to renewing the legal status of Ukrainian refugees (who btw pay far more in taxes than they consume in services). I don’t think Nawrocki likes Ukraine. He hates Russia, sure. But he believes in “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”, and he has no interest in being friendly with Ukraine or helping them out.
They moved back to Ukraine and they still claim child benefits….
Now this is reasonable if the following
1. It’s just working age people, not the elderly or disabled. Otherwise yes, men should be working and if after 3 years they are not, perhaps it’s time to reevaluate.
2. We don’t turn around and give benefits to 3rd worlders. We should be taking care of Poles first, then Slavs, then European Union Citizens. So if the government is willing to cut off Slavs but give Ranjesh and Mohammed benefits this is egregious.
