  1. So people can’t burn the flag but it’s okay for Trump to shit all over it?

  2. Who wants to be the Supreme Court will overturn the previous ruling?

  3. He’s making reasons to arrest people.

He needs shit to pop off so bad so he has A reason to escalate

  4. Riots at levels never seen before because there’s never been a riot over flag burning.

  5. So basically attacking the 1st amendment and a specifically defined right under it confirmed by SCOTUS in 1989 with Scalia.

  6. Too bad for him, that an EO doesn’t actually change the law. He can throw a fit all he wants about flag burning, but it’s protected under the 1A via Johnson v Texas 1989

  7. Trump thinks every whim of his should be enacted. He literally believes he owns the country and the other two branches of government are his to command.

  8. Didn’t the January 6th Walmart goblins burn flaga and also beat police officers with it? Guess that’s just swell!

  9. You mean /another/ order that defies Supreme Court precedent.

  10. Love the blatant hypocrisy of Republicans sending anything and everything they disagree with back up to their corrupt Supreme Court. But now that we’re so far in the deep end, they’re just saying “fuck it” and trying to ram their illegal overreach down our throats.

  11. Honestly the day this man leaves this earth by a clogged artery, is a day the world will be a better place. Man reeks of insecurities and is just a small man demanding respect.

  12. I love what the flag COULD stand for, what my father raised me to believe it stood for. I am absolutely willing to burn one to protest this current administration who is willing to elevate those who beat cops with said flag.

King Trump wipes his ass with our noses on the daily. Exercise your rights and protest this by committing that act of speech. (Please do it safely)

  13. I believe people burned flags on Jan 6. Did he perchance pardon one of them?

  14. Burning the flag is bad, and GOP deep state breaking the law and constitution almost hourly is good. Noted!

  15. Burning the flag isn’t even a particularly common form of protest these days. It’s not exactly relevant.

But this is a great way to prompt people to do it.

  16. Which flag? The real one or those made up fake versions with the single red or blue stripe?

  17. The problem is… about enforcement. Yes, an EO doesn’t change the law, but if Trump’s lackeys, cohorts, and minions obey those EO’s… then by fiat it becomes law.

The SCOTUS facilitated a monster. Political agenda not withstanding. And they’re probably going to sit on their hands like they always do when it comes to Trump.

  18. “It incites riots at a level we’ve never seen before…” You mean, like Jan 6 level of riots?

  19. When was the last time burning the flag incited “riots like we’ve never seen?”

This is all just to make democrats defend an unpopular thing.

  20. It’s amazing how everything is “like you’ve never seen before”

  21. “When you burn the American flag, it incites riots at levels that we’ve never seen before”

    This makes ZERO sense.

  22. Reminder:

    Double Bonus:

For the better part of two decades starting in the late 1980s, Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump swam in the same social pool. They were neighbors in Florida. They jetted from LaGuardia to Palm Beach together. They partied at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club and dined at Epstein’s Manhattan mansion.

    and…

MC2 (pronounced MC squared) was the modeling agency that Epstein, Brunel, and the mob would use to get trafficked girls into the US with “genius visas”

Nicknamed the “Einstein Visa”, the EB-1 is in theory reserved for people who are highly acclaimed in their field – the government cites Pulitzer, Oscar, and Olympic winners as examples – as well as respected academic researchers and multinational executives.

Mrs Trump began applying for the visa in 2000, when she was Melania Knauss, a Slovenian model working in New York and dating Donald Trump. She was approved in 2001, one of just five people from Slovenia to win the coveted visa that year, according to the Post.

    and…

While President Donald Trump has dismissed his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, The New York Times reported that Epstein has claimed he introduced Trump to his third wife, Melania.

  23. Another distraction for the media to not cover the fact that he’s a pedophile, and is on the Epstein list.

  24. Yes, but where are the Epstein files? Release the files, Trump!

  25. “When you burn a flag is the area goes crazy. If you have hundreds of people, they go crazy. You can do other things. You can burn this piece of paper, you can and it’s but when you burn the American flag, it incites riots at levels that we’ve never seen before,” Trump said.

    – What is this word salad? Are we even ATTEMPTING to use the English language anymore? There’s been a push to make English the official language, but most brand new immigrants (of various levels of legality) have a better grasp on the English language than whatever this is.

  26. You’re telling me that flag he humped on stage several years ago. Wasn’t immediately burnt? That shit was a quadrillion more offensive than burning a flag in protest.

  27. Is that the ACLU’s music I hear?

They should start a flag burning party in front of the White House. Let’s see if anyone gets arrested.

  28. This is the pro-constitution party, right? So pro-constitution they’ll value firearms over innocent students’ lives, right? Asking for a friend…

  29. Remember two important things:

    1. In the United States in 2025, corporations get freedom of speech but you do not

    2. The current President of the United States, Donald Trump, ran a child sex trafficking ring with his best friend Jeffrey Epstein for close to a decade as documented in the Epstein files he refuses to release

  30. Umm…a Presidential Executive Order is only relevant to instructions on how to run and manage the federal executive office. It holds ZERO force of law because it was not passed by Congress.

The Supreme Court has ruled that flag burning is a Constitutionally protected right; therefore, to violate that is to violate the Constitution. The President is required to UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION. In other words, the first person he persecutes for burning a flag would then be grounds for impeachment.

    Again.

If the Court excuses this, they are effectively saying provisions in the Constitution don’t really matter. If they really want to go there, it will be another marker for the start of the second American Civil War. I’m not kidding.

  31. Does this mean all the dumbass merch with defaced flags will also be punished by a year in jail?

Under Armor is going to need to pull half their products.

  32. Burning flag = not OK but beating cops with flags = OK. Noted.
