  2. If you actually read the manifestos and writings from pro-Palestinian groups you’ll find most outright support and praise Hamas so yeah shutting down a gay pride event is right up their alley.

  10. Ok I’ll be the one to point it out, if you’re gay and supporting Palestine you’re either a fool, a tool, or a dumbass. Are innocent people dying there? Absolutely. Is Palestine anti-gay? Absolutely. Even before Israel decided to do what they’ve been doing ,gay Palestinians had to flee their home and seek refuge in Israel because their own people would kill them. The irony seems lost on these people.

  11. So, just making sure I understand, a queer pro-Palestinian group blocked the pride parade because the pride parade wasn’t also being used to promote the pro-palestinian cause?

    Totally get wanting more representation for one’s cause, and also agree that civil disobedience and demonstrations should cause inconvenience (otherwise they’ll just be forgotten), but the queer population seems like a silly group to do so to. They’re a minority pop, so have less power.

    Everyone should go take a look at Syrian and Jordanian history and ask “why is nobody in the Middle East is taking refugees?” (See the PLO). Short answer is last time someone did that the Palestinians armed their camps and tried to overthrow the government.

    Sad thing is the smartest kid in my graduating class was Palestinian, and probably many more like him starving because bad group politics are getting in the way of real life.
