  1. There seems to be a variety of figures going around from different research institutions. I’ve read other reports showing that China’s emissions have either plateaued or are even declining.

  2. Building coal plants does not mean burning coal – the article appears to have been written by a rather unintelligent person.

    That’s from the report. They didn’t use more coal than before, they built more coal plants etc., so they can output more power if needed. They also are going insane in terms of other power sources.

    One of the reasons some say, the US has already lost the AI game – because he US runs a power grid that shows the neglect from decades of sucking all the money out of the system and not reinvesting.

    China’s power grid is constantly built and upgraded, not just the power plants.

  7. Yes, but CO2 emissions over the last 12 months are down by 2.7% while energy production is up 2%.
