  1. This post got 8.5k likes and plenty of engagement. Some of the top comments called for removal of Pakistanis, and when people in the replies were correcting the narrative, the replies were that “no foreign flag should fly in the UK”, seemingly including embassies and private property.

Scary to see how the disinformation spreads.

  2. Disinformation is the bread and butter of the far right

  3. People should be proud to fly the Union Jack or any national flag. It’s a shame that the Union Jack has become tainted by far right wankers who don’t seem to realize that it’s supposed to represent unity not division. It’s a bit like how I can’t wear my black and yellow Fred Perry polo anymore due to the Proud Boys symbolism.

  4. The far right crowd is not interested in the truth. They just have this weird, deep seeded need to hate. They use whatever to satisfy their craving.

  5. They do love to invent things to rage over, probably do with a better hobby.

  6. Thing is, that it could be disinformation from all sorts of sources.

The far right is the obvious suspect. But they’re not the only one. Foreign state actors are another likely candidate. But, it could also be ordinary citizens of countries which are unfriendly to Pakistan, doing this sort of thing of their own initiative.

  7. Being in the U.S. it’s strange how different all the headlines about the same news stories are. I’ll see an article here, then go look deeper and find a completely different narrative from local news there.

  8. Beans on toast gang trying their best to spread crap

  9. I got sent this by a Glaswegian mate who now lives in the USA. He voted for Trump as well as

  10. The truth doesn’t matter to these arseholes. They’ll misrepresent anything to fit their agenda, and their audience laps it up because it reinforces their prejudices.

  11. One of Farage’s previous parties used a picture of a spitfire to send Poles back to Poland. The plane pictured in the poster was Polish.

Never let the truth get in the way of racism.

  12. British partitioned Indian Raja and it was a mess leave them cekebrate their independence

  13. “British Patriots”? Far right fuckers more like. There’s nothing patriotic about the “Operation Raise the Colours” movement, it’s hate pure and simple.

Ask yourself why they accept funds from the likes of Britain First, why is Andrew Currien/Andy Saxon (Stephen Yaxley-Lennon/Tommy Robinson support and former English Defence League’s leader bodyguard team) involved?

This whole thing is fascism cosplaying as patriotism and it’s disgusting. Our grandparents fought wars against the fash, and here are the knuckle-draggers lapping that shit right up.

  14. There is a saying

A lie is half way round the world before the truth has got its boots on

The true art in disinformation is to be as close to real as possible, to outlandish and you can spot the fake, close enough and people start believing / thinking it might be true.

Who is actually pushing this becomes really hard to work out, as so much is being AI generated that someone is bound to have asked an AI, but also it could be foreign agency or just someone clever enough to take advantage.

  15. No surprise, so sad so many can so quickly be set on a target and thereafter believe everything bad they read or see about them, while totally failing to notice what is really happening to cause the deprivation in their own communities. Divide and conquer indeed.
