Hello!

Ever since I was a kid, I'd buy those magazine subscriptions, then give up after a few editions (parents fault, not mine 🤣) – I remember collecting a Robot Wars one, as well as a Human Body one which came with VHS's and a model you could build.

Anyway, 2.5 years ago I started collecting a DC Heros and Villains Book Collection, and finally I've completed the set.

Adult money meant I could finally commit to a series, and now they will forever sit on my shelves, take up needed space and never be read 🤣🤣

  1. All of those combining spines are… *chefs kiss*

Shame you can’t get them all in a row.

  2. I’ve never understood things like this or Funko Popz, but it’s your money so live and let live

  3. these ones seem ok to me because imo £10.99 is a perfectly reasonable price for a hard back colour graphic novel, and if you ever decided to stop it wouldnt matter cus the books you have got are still worth having in their own right.

I did the judge dredd set some years back, no regrets. Still working through ’em, though

  4. Lies!! Those things do not end. They’ll be after you soon to start round 2 so you can have the “complete collection.”

  5. I feel that. I ended up with 150 marvel ones. They kept extending it but I felt that was a good cut off point as I would need to build an extension to house them.

It carried on to about 280 issues!

  6. Fantastic.

I do wonder how they plan for these things.

Do they order 1000s of bits for the first dozen mags and by the end they’re ordering 3 to send out?

Anyone built the Titanic? I’m sure that was one.

  7. My Marvel one is almost complete and tomorrow will be slot the last 4 of 5 months of deliveries in to the pile.

Sadly I don’t have a shelf that is tall enough to put them on so they are in 2 towering piles.

About £22 a month for 2 but they have really good weight, glossy paper so seem a good deal for the quality. That and I am really enjoying reading them and the husband keeps pinching the Hulk and Wolverine ones.

  8. Nice collection!

Is that 2 staircase bookshelves combined together??

  9. Could I kindly ask where you got your large minion figure/case from please?

  10. I have the entire DC Graphic Novel Collection from Eaglemoss (aside from the last 3 as Eaglemoss went bankrupt before they released them). They do the same thing with the graphic along the spine.

All in it cost me well in excess of £1000 I reckon, maybe £2000 since it wasn’t cheap and went on for years. Now I’m done with the collection it’s basically impossible to sell as a job lot, turns out nobody wants to take in 200 fairly big hard back books. I’m not even going to entertain trying to sell them individually or batched on eBay. Cash Converters might give me £50 for the lot I suppose.

  11. When I was younger eaglemoss or someone did batmobile models in a display case with info on them. I wanted to buy the models from their website directly but they went bust before I could. I did get the first one which was the Burton batmobile. I still somewhere have a marvel one from around the same time that has a x-ray view of the Baxter building among other stuff.

  12. I did the hachette bismark. Huge fuck off ship, all metal and plastic. Has rotating turrets and lights as well.

Its so big, I have nowhere to put it

  13. Are these the ones where its free first copy, £2 each for the next few, then £5 each, then £10 each, then remortgage for the rest of them

  14. To each their own, and I’m sure it brings you joy, but you could not torture the information out of me that I had a display like that at home. The funko pops in particular.

  15. My dad completed the Dad’s Army dvd and magazine one around 20 years ago. Still have the set around somewhere, which is unbelievably unwieldy

  16. I didn’t know they still did them!! I’ve always wanted to complete one, but don’t often see them around anymore.
