  1. Wow, that seems like alot from such a little country. They are smaller than the greater Toronto area.

    Edit. I know they have money but regardless of there wealth fund they have given ukraine alot if we look at gdp. I think it deserves some recognition and not just, oh well they’re rich.

  4. Great job, Norway. They understand that the Russian-Ukrainian war is more than that, and if Russia is not stopped, they will be dealing with the same situation.

  5. If they didn’t kick back some of the windfall profits from the war they might get a lot of negative publicity.

    Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in early 2022, Norway has become a key energy supplier to Europe.

    The Norwegian Finance Ministry estimated that higher gas prices and increased production since 2022 had brought Norway an additional 1,270 billion NOK (€107.7 billion) in extra revenue linked to the conflict.

  10. allocating vs giving is so different. So many countries have pledge money and support but only given a fraction of it. The ENTIRE war, from the pro west elections in 2014 to this war have been about securing Ukraine’s commodity market.

  14. Is it just me? I actually dont get all these very large monetary figures being thrown around. Fact is, the west pretty much depleted the old stocks, no amount of money will suddenly get the new supplies to the front line….

  15. Norway only has about 5million people. That’s $1500 per person per year!!! Still, beats sending your youth off to be killed and corrupted by war.
