Awesome, can’t wait to see the petrol shortage hit Moscow.
At this point, Putin might have to power the tanks with vodka and his own ego fumes.
I have witnessed disruption to fuel supply in the U.K. it gets everywhere very quickly. Most countries only have a few days of reserves. Corrupt countries like Russia will have leaky reserves.
The entire situation was completely self inflicted and easily avoidable. I guess this is what happens when a nation starts a war for every excuse in the book, then expects everyone who isn’t Trump or Orban to sit back and do nothing.
What makes it worse, is there is very little the Kremlin can do about it, if they force the prices down, the stations will be forced to close, which will only mean that the supply of gas would end up being funneled into a major choke point which will ultimately create longer fuel lines, which will quickly escalate into more significant shortages and higher prices.
This is what happens when Russian leaders burn the very bridges that they needed to keep their hydrocarbon industry afloat, which is amusing, because the very people the Kremlin wants the people to focus on, is the west, you know the very same west that provided the material to keep the Russian gas industry above water.
It is almost as if the Kremlin used the Zeitgeist of the west to keep the Russian distracted for long enough, to keep prying eyes away from the theft of Russian wealth by the 0.01% of the Russian population. the “tragic” part is, when Putin and his cronies have siphoned enough wealth away from Russia, they will abandon the Russian people and those very people will still be puckering up to kiss Putin’s wrinkled ass.
“Unscheduled repairs” …
Seems like donkey breeding will be even more popular there soon
