3. Considering distances in that region, a very short distance to complete.

4. Only 224 Km? At first I thought that was a typo. It must be 2240 km.

   Then I realized that the Chinese must have been very busy with their Belt and Road Initiative. They have probably financed and built about 5000 km of railroad track, to get almost to Turkey’s doorstep.

   This has enormous strategic implications, cutting Russia out of the overland Asia trade. It will strengthen all of the countries south of Russia, and make them more prosperous.

5. Bypassing Russia *and* Iran? So will there be a shipping link across the Caspian Sea?
