This was Oerlikon station at 07:20. The bike was parked across the end of one of the ramps to Gleis 8.

Anyone stupid enough to do this shouldn’t be in charge of a motorised vehicle. They’re a menace to society.

And what I still don’t understand is how the bike owning company doesn’t get penalised for the transgressions of its clients. If bikes parked like this were to be confiscated you can bet the VC tech bros would find a solution pretty quick.

  6. There is a non-negligible correlation between morons and people who use these electric vehicles. Be it scooters, bikes or these weird wannabe motorcycles with boomboxes.

  7. They will never unterstand that those things are not used in Switzerland. Who wants to use a bad bike, who wants to drive a scooter for 400m and pay 2 CHF for it? Well, we got one in front of our house since 1 Week, would be free ride. Hasnt been mooved by anyone yet

  8. Kick it over! That’s what we do in the UK when hire bikes are dumped in places which restrict access.

  11. I think all the people who leave their rental scooters/bikes/mopeds in the wrong place should be automatically fined via the app. It should be mandatory for the providers to fine them, and the money should go the municipality (minus maybe a handling fee).
