  1. Why is china given a free pass. They generate more pollution than half the world combined.

  2. Not a damn thing since the US is not a member of the international world court.

Between now and some years into the future, there will probably be some decisions by the court which could produce grist for political and diplomatic pressure on the United States, but before that happens, the climate crisis will have intensified enough that the immediate impact of climate stress will probably drown out that effect

  3. The Court has about as much influence on top-tier powers as the UN, which is to say: “well what the hell are we supposed to use, harsh language?”

  4. No enforcement mechanism. Sadly.
Oil executives should be on trial. Not on yachts.

  5. The USA will feel it when every nation in the ICC puts embargos on trade. Complete economic isolation might, and I say might, break through the christian nationalism and regressive culture.
