Ozzy Osbourne blames reality TV show for driving him and kids to drink and drugs

  1. It is uncomfortable to watch any of that show back now I’m an adult. Things clearly aren’t OK.

Reality TV is overly exploitative by nature and really needs stricter regulations.

  2. I mean, surely any of them could have stopped the show from happening? Obviously it’s all speculation at this point and the damage has been done. But I fucking hate those kinds of shows anyway, so i find it easy to believe.

  3. I’ll always remember Ozzy for being the front man of one of the greatest bands of all time. Living legend.

  4. Wait… what? Maybe his kids but him? No chance… Ozzy was well and truly off his trolly before reality TV become a thing.

Still love him though. Great bloke.

  5. They had two daughters and a son IIRC and one daughter didn’t want to be on the show and was never shown on camera. The other two kids got semi careers out of the show that their talents certainly wouldn’t merit alone. Sharon became a celebrity in her own right because of the show and has stretched it out for years.

The show was full of semi scripted ‘incidents’ and post recorded reaction shots, and the entire family were playing up to the cameras (maybe not Ozzy because he was so out of it).

Can’t see that it did them much harm.

  6. I never realised that their oldest daughter was only 15/16 when they first discussed taking part in a reality show, that’s pretty shocking to me that she actually had to move out at 16 because her parents wouldn’t respect her wishes to not bring cameras in to their family home. You would think that if just one if the kids said no to the idea, then that would have been the end of it
