The Union Flag means nothing to me as there is no representation. the issue with this is vast majority of these people have a lot of time in their hands, cause they don’t work and claim benefits, no wonder they have so much time in their hands to put up flags and paint roundabouts.

This whole post just shits on everyone who has recently said they’re proud to be British, despite years of people saying they have nothing to be proud of, the sudden change in positivity towards your own nation is immediately met with people saying “nah, racist” because of a small group who shouts and acts the loudest. Because the extreme events are reported more than the majority of calm, passive people who are just saying it passively even to themselves. The majority of us do not want to be bundled into their group, yet are treated as such. There’s no middle ground anymore, a lot of people have the, “either you’re with or against me” mentality.
I’ve always said, flying the Union Jack/England flag is fine. It’s the “Oi ¶@k¡” that normally flows which is the problem.
Stop trying to make the UK like the USA.
We don’t wave flags like morons here, except for special occasions. We question the state and only students support politicians.

There’s tons to be proud of as a nation, our beautiful landscapes, our literary and cultural output, sporting greats, our sense of humour, our long history, our innovation and creativity.
But this isn’t what’s being represented here. It’s about far right wing posturing and disliking foreigners. It’s suspicion, hate, fear and prejudice on display and I resent my countries flag being usurped by these people.
Some numbskulls in my road have spraypainted literally anything white on the road with a shitty red cross, the hatching for give way lines, the small white triangles on the speedbumps. Fucking stupid.
Never had an issue with people flying flags but shittily spray painting st.georges cross somewhere it is going to get driven over is just dumb
