As a Brit, also wanted to say how much I appreciated Ypres. Was very humbling and moving to see the respect for the fallen soldiers.

  1. People like to complain about it, and indeed, it’s far from perfect but still a place with more than decent QoL.

  2. It’s hard to imagine that this is the same country that also has Charleroi

  3. Ypres, Bruges and Ghent, great choices for a trip friend! You are always welcome to return

  4. Ypres sure is unique. And as you said – a place without modern day politics bullshit and bringing it back down to earth that normal people like you and I died to give us the freedom we enjoy today – and probably don’t appreciate enough.

  5. Of course most of the pictures are taken in West-Flanders

  6. I’m glad you enjoyed Ypres! It’s one of my favorite places in the whole country for me 🙂

Respect to the countless British soldiers who gave their lives to protect our lands, they will be remembered o7

  7. Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.

My country is wonderful. People don’t realize. Don’t it always seem to go, that you don’t know what you got till it’s gone.

  8. Did you enjoy our ubiquitous unmaintained roads yet eternal roadworks, utterly incohesive urban planning and egotistical maniac car drivers ?

  9. All fun and games until you have to live with the political situation

  10. Next time come to the south of Belgium. There is a safari you can do in Charleroi : [https://www.charleroiadventure.com/en/](https://www.charleroiadventure.com/en/) The atmosphere is a bit different there. Joke aside there are beautiful places in the south too, but difficult to compete with Bruges or Ghent
