WISCONSIN — Vice President JD Vance will visit La Crosse, Wisconsin on Thursday, Aug. 28, the White House confirmed.
Vance is expected to speak at a steel fabrication facility about President Donald Trump’s new spending bill, dubbed “big, beautiful bill.” He will focus on “the historic tax cuts it delivered for working families and businesses,” according to a release.
Vance’s Press Secretary Taylor Van Kirk first confirmed the visit in a post on X
Republican Party of Wisconsin Chairman Brian Schimming also confirmed on X that Vance will be back in Wisconsin this week.
“Great to have @VP JD Vance back in Wisconsin this Thursday, spoke to him last Wednesday in Atlanta; #OneBigBeautifulBill means less taxes, more investment in American jobs, controlled border, great for Wisconsin & America,” Schimming said.
No other details were confirmed about the visit.
Vance was last in the Badger State in La Crosse on Nov. 4 ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Neither the president nor the vice president have visited the state since that election.
