It’s been well-established that multiple members of the British royal family are, in fact, Swifties, which means they’re just as excited about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement as the rest of the fandom.
On Tuesday, the “Karma” singer and Kelce revealed the news via Instagram, where they shared a joint carousel depicting their romantic rose garden engagement. The Kansas City Chiefs player proposed with an estimated $1 million 10-carat diamond ring, which was custom-made by Kindred Lubeck of the New York City-based Artifex Fine Jewelry.

Swift and Kelce’s Instagram post now has over 17 million likes, including a couple from the Windsors themselves. Despite recent reports of a feud between William and Harry, both sides of the family came together to bless Swift and Kelce’s engagement: their post was “liked” by Meghan Markle’s personal account, as well as by Prince William and Kate Middleton’s joint Prince and Princess of Wales account.
As revealed by Page Six on Tuesday, Swift and the athlete’s engagement actually took place days before their announcement.

A source close to the couple told the outlet that Kelce popped the question “a couple of weeks ago,” though an exact date wasn’t confirmed.
The same insider also revealed that Kelce’s relatives were aware of the engagement prior to Tuesday’s Instagram post. They’re reportedly “happy” and “thrilled” for Swift to join the family.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift wrote in the caption.
The pop star began dating Kelce in 2023. She recently made her first appearance on his hit podcast “New Heights,” which he co-hosts with his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
