  1. Why couldn’t they afford to use an oven? Were they about to run out of electricity credit, or were they worried it’d cost a vast amount of money? What percentage of people have pre-paid electricity?

  2. >1 in 3 families skip meals due to cost

    >1 in 5 families cannot afford to use the oven

I suspect things will get worse, it is however the Tory way. Remember “we are all in this together” until the “trickle down effect” pays off and we can “level up”.

What a truly ugly party the Tories are, but hey, they siphoned off tens of billions to their mates and still fuckers would vote for them!

  3. I’m on a prepay, it was here when I moved in. Yesterday it bleeped, which I have only heard once in 4 years. This means I was down to 50p, so I clicked on the emergency, as had no plans to go to shops Yesterday. I’ve just looked and oh my god. It’s using 2.50 a day. At least half term will be over soon and I can keep everything switched off all day while my son is it at school.

  4. This is one of the reasons why my tolerance to shoppers that come into our store, grab something from the chiller section and then dump in the freezer no longer get advice with a smile. I am blunt with them, “DON’T DO THAT”. There is zero excuse for it, you are just being lazy.

If they ask me to put it back for them, they take it and leave it with a cashier or put it back themselves, all these things are good. But just dumping it, then fuck you, we now have to waste it off the system. Ignorant lazy sods.

  5. I am the one in ten
    A number on a list
I am the one in ten
    Even though I don’t exist
    Nobody Knows me
    Even though I’m always there
    A statistic, a reminder
Of a world that doesn’t care

  6. Its like the player just ignoring everything the population needs in some Civ game.

Feels like they want to push the population to the brink so they’ll accept some major war when it happens or something…

So much done already to try and control everyone.

The attempt to give police more powers against protesters and to push for photo ID in voting etc etc…

Would all of this been allowed of we’d stayed in the EU?

  7. Those who used to donate are now the ones in need of donations, on top of those who have been using them for years. It’s a perfect storm and we will see illnesses associated with malnutrition shoot up if we are not careful. That will only add more pressure to the NHS.
