UK migrant arrivals on small boats reach new record

1. For years, the West (UK and France most egregiously) have been using the sands of the Sahara as killing fields for testing their weaponry under the guise of ‘antiterrorism operations’, taking advantage of weak post-colonial governments in West and Central Africa.

   I don’t necessarily blame the citizenry of the UK for taking such a leap to the right on immigration – their media feeds them slop daily and there are many legitimate concerns. But goddamm if it isn’t the consequences of their own actions.

3. It’ll get even more record breaking when the weather changes. August’s influx has been low compared to the same period in the last two years but that’s only because the same Jetstream position that has lead to much of England being in drought has pushed a nasty swell up the Channel. As the prevailing winds shift going into Autumn and overloaded, under-powered boats aren’t pushed straight back to France the gangs are going to try and clear their backlog.

   Needless to say the government has not used the respite to prepare by building camps in disused airbases and barracks.
