The gaming thread. I'm feeling a serious urge to replay some of the Lego games at the moment. Fun, challenging, a great way to waste a few hours.
What have you been playing this week? Any new releases on the horizon that you're eyeing up?

Finally jumped on the bandwagon of Clair Obscur : Expedition 33. Don’t need to say anything about it, it’s exactly as amazing as everybody else already told you. Beautiful graphics, amazing soundtrack, immaculate voice acting, turn-based combat with real-time souls-like dodging and parrying and a multitude of simple(ish) RPG elements that combine to create amazing complexity. Superb work.
On the side I’ve gone back to replaying the Bioshock series right from the start – and was amused to see that the remastered version of Bioshock 1 introduces several issues that the original didn’t have which required some fiddling and modding to sort out.
Finally after just short of 600 hours 100% completed the remake of Oblivion.. Loved it
Replaying an overlooked gem from the Midlands this week, Second Sight from the team who made TimeSplitters. I’m still furious about Embracer shutting down the reborn studio a couple years back before we got a proper TimeSplitters 4. Second Sight holds up better than I expected, great story about waking up from a coma with psychic powers, and every other level is a flashback, but when you play the flashbacks you alter the present. Recommended!
I finished The Rogue Prince of Persia last night, excellent game, loved the art style and gameplay was addictive. Now there’s a brief lul until Silksong next weekend
I’ve finished the main story of my God of War Ragnarök replay, still some bits at bobs to finish up, and then the Valhalla dlc.
Started up Gears of War Reloaded yesterday. Which is bringing me so much joy. One of my absolute favourite series from the Xbox 360 on my ps5.
So of course my telly decided to crap out on me last night.
I recently triple dipped on Celeste for the Switch, having played it on PS4 and Steam previously. The prospect of beating all the C-sides for a third time is filling me with excitement and dread in equal measure.
After 150hrs I finished the story in **Death Stranding 2**. Thoroughly enjoyable game that improves on the first one in pretty much every way. There’s still loads of orders to do so I’m carrying on and might aim for the platinum.
No idea what I’ll play next. Curious to see the reviews for Hell is Us, but nothing else I’m desperate to play really. Might get PS plus for a month and see if there’s any decent monthly games I’ve added and not played. Pretty sure Robocop and Balatro are in my library and I’ve heard great things about them. Or I might go back to the platinum grind in Returnal…
Made the dangerous decision to replay Persona 5 again… Managed to link my upstairs PC to my downstairs TV and am playing a full modded play through in full comfort of the couch.
My brother and I both love watching long plays of games so he’s always there watching / playing with me and I absolutely love it. On the second boss out of nine, so definitely got a good 90+ hours to go! JRPGs certainly take up time in the best sense.
New releases though? John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. It looks like borderlands meets zombie horde shooter with cheesy 80s action protagonists, all co-op in a group of 4. Absolutely love some chaos with the boys!
For the person who asked last week: turns out I do Like Horny Bunnies. Fucking stupid game so far, but an incredibly amusing way to test my first gaming laptop
