After a string of failures, finally success for the world’s biggest and most powerful rocket. As Starship splashed down in the Indian Ocean, SpaceX employees and their CEO Elon Musk celebrated. Great work by the SpaceX team. Just an hour earlier, Starship blasted off from Texas. This time testing a series of upgrades. Moments after reaching space, it completed the first ever deployment of a test payload, eight dummy satellites. Shortly after, its atmospheric re-entry put a variety of new heat shield tiles to the test. This success comes after a rough year. In March, an explosion grounded flights and caused debris to rain down over the Bahamas. In June, another Starship blew up on the launch pad. two setbacks in a negative trend that may now be broken. The US space agency NAZA was quick to join the celebration. Congratulations to SpaceX on its Starship test. Flight 10 success paves the way for the Starship human landing system that will bring American astronauts back to the moon on Arteimus 3. NAZA plans its first crude Starship mission to the moon in 2027, but most observers say that date will likely slip.
