  1. Denmark has summoned a senior United States diplomat to demand an explanation after claims that figures connected to the Trump administration infiltrated Greenland to conduct “covert influence operations”.

    The Danish security services are monitoring at least three US citizens with “close ties” to President Trump and the White House who are thought to have been canvassing local support for an American takeover, according to a report.

    DR, the national public broadcaster, said it had been told by eight unnamed government sources that the three were suspected of recruiting Greenlanders for a US-sponsored “separatist” movement.

    It gave few details about the supposed operation, except that one of the Americans had visited the Arctic island and compiled a list of potential supporters for a US effort to annex the territory

  3. It’s an island with 60k people. Towns are tiny to a few thousand people. Some only speak Danish or Greenlandic. An American will not be able to hide there for more than a few hours. What are you going to do? A small town will not even need Facebook or a paper to transmit the info it will be widely talked about in clubs. MAGA Americans are brash, don’t travel much if at all, and don’t understand other cultures. The chances of them being sneaky and pulling this off is zero. Even the uneducated Greenlanders are smart enough to outwit most MAGA people.

    It’s a giant waste of money by Trump.

  4. After so many kept saying it’s just an idle threat, the USA under the Trump adminstration has now been caught doing a hostile action with their officials.

    It may not limited to just Greenland, they’ve likely been extending feelers to judge the susceptibility of other countries to a land grab as well. Everyone needs to be careful, including American Citizens if they don’t want to be dragged into an invasion.
