Same as last year, something is feasting on my strawberry plants leaves? Anyone’s having an idea what animal it could be?

  1. Rabbit or hare. You seem to have fence, maybe add some to prevent them entering this part of yard. Hares are essy to stop, rabbits no so

  2. See any hoof marks? If yes, then the answer most likely is deer.

  3. More likely hares and rabbits. Birds and foxes would eat berries and based on the fence it is unlikely that it would be deer.

  4. assuming by animaltracks there, rabbit found your berries tasty.

  5. Roe deer? (Rådjur) They did eat my strawberry plants like that. Live in Sweden though…

  6. Bunnies and hares eat everything, but I had a very similar outcome in a greenhouse where I had some beans growing before planting them outside. The door was a little ajar on a warm day, and someone had chopped half of my seedlings. I suspected hares and blackbirds, but I think the actual culprit was a group of ants. I can’t prove it, but they were seen at the crime scene.

I also know pheasants like to all kinds of seedlings.
