New Schuelertickets in NRW look like they were generated by AI. That's really obvious and I think they're getting lazy, I could've done it better in blender

  2. I mean…..they provide *very* cheap transportation for children so a) who cares what the ticket looks like and b) good on them for not wasting money.

  4. It doesn’t take a lot to take an existing, REAL photo of something and put it on the card. Instead, now it looks like a simulation of what a person with a mental illness sees (no identifiable objects in sight).

  7. Who issues those these days? When I was in school you got those from the association, operator or DB (in my case, VRR and Rheinbahn) which are all private companies. If this is now due to the Deutschlandticket managed by the state, I can see a guy just trying to be more efficient to get this done within the year instead of going through the whole effort of getting a contractor involved that will be very expensive.

  8. It’s okay to be lazy, but this is lazy and sloppy. Using AI for something like this is fine, but it shouldn’t be too hard to just hit the generate button a few more times or inpaint obvious nonsense.

  12. AI is being used as if the world/the Internet as we know it has ended and there’s no other way of creating/editing images and it pisses me off.

    I was at the airport this week and they used AI to make a poster with 4-5 drawings of the things that should be placed in a scanning tray. Like a coat, a 100ml container, and so on. Fucking hell, is it so hard to just copy a fucking image without having to ask Chatgpt?

  13. So those sandpaper pants are ok but an image on the back of the card that nobody cares about is the problem? I think it’s an unnecessary complaint, the image itself has no effect to the card’s functionality. If using AI allowed them to save time to create a copyright free image, then what’s the big deal?

  14. This isn’t lazy guys. Its simply capitalist interest to spend as little money as possible to make as much money as possible and then keep it for the CEOs etc instead of distributing it to the workers.
    But we all are the workers. We have the ability to stop this. If you don’t like what is happening at your company, go on organised strike until whatever you don’t like is fixed. That can include demanding much more money. Their company will fail if you don’t work. All the profits are made by your labor. Why should they earn all the profits, all that money, when you are the one who is producing the value they sell???
