    The Kremlin came into Ukraine under the same platform the Hitler and Stalin invaded Poland: conquest, subjugation, and exploitation.

  16. Ironically, he just described why a democratic country with proper regulations, transparency, checks and balances triumphs over autocratic systems. If people have to rely on corruption just for their daily survival, they inevitably will do the unthinkable when pushed to the edge.

  26. He reminds me of Pope Pius XI who made an agreement with Mussolini in 1929 to recognize his fascist agenda in exchange for real estate and tax exceptions. Putin’s 1st move once getting in power is to embraced the once forbidden religious practices of the USSR.

    Nothing is more important for dictational head of state (And wannabe’s) to ensure they have “god on their side”.
