Luxembourg has confirmed that it is not planning to participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025.

The Head of Press for Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest has confirmed to ESC Spot that RTL has no plans to compete in this year’s edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. There had been speculation that Luxembourg may compete in the contest after RTL aired last years contest live from Madrid, Spain.

RTL Zwee broadcast the final of Junior Eurovision 2024 live from Madrid, Spain. Commentary was provided by Raoul Roos and Eric Lehmann. Raoul Roos one of the Luxembourgish commentators for Eurovision 2024 and 2025.

RTL was one of three non-participating broadcasters to air the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 alongside HRT of Croatia and LRT of Lithuania.

Junior Eurovision 2025

Junior Eurovision 2025 will be held on December 13 in Tbilisi after Andria Putkaradze gave Georgia their record-breaking fourth victory with “To My Mom”. The contest will be held at the Olympic Palace, which previously hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2017.

A number of countries have either confirmed their participation in Junior Eurovision 2025 or signaled their intention to compete. These countries are:

Estonia and Germany have both withdrawn from the competition. The following broadcasters have confirmed they have no plans to return:
