The meeting of weak minds

  1. Funny how “weak minds” gets projected onto the people pointing out authoritarian behavior, while the guy actually making the dictatorial moves gets painted as strong. History shows the real weakness isn’t speaking up too softly, it’s a political system so captured by corporate money and fear of backlash that leaders tiptoe around calling tyranny what it is. That’s not “weak minds” that’s a rigged incentive structure.

The real “meeting of weak minds” is Congress pretending word choice is the problem, when in reality the unwillingness to act on corruption, guns, climate, or authoritarian power grabs is what keeps this country stuck. Word games are easy. Courage is rare.

  2. I would have gone with, “we find them problematic”.

  3. This is a joke at democrats expense that I agree with, which is rare for this sub.

  4. Yup, they and the loyal press have yet to learn how to deal linguistically with bloviating lies & hyperbole.

  5. wtf else do you expect them to be able to do here? say the same thing, but more vigorously? making polite complaints is basically a politician’s entire job.

  6. Truly the embodiment of the democrats leadership. So out of touch with reality. We need to purge them and the entire DNC leadership. Bunch of feckless losers.

  7. We’re not mad, just disappointed

    – dem party doing jack about all this corruption 🥲

  8. I believe Susan Collins may have copyright on “concerned”.

  9. Oh Sh*t!! Someone is about to be hit with a strongly worded letter.

  10. The next panel, you’ll see them actually hulk out against populist policies like “Medicare for All” and people like Zohran.

The last panel, they’ve reverted back to their original form, glowing at Newsom’s trolling thinking they’ll be able to win the midterm and general elections with him at the helm (without changing any policies that are unanimously hated by their base and electorate).

  11. I remember when Jeffries looked like he might actually have a clue, and the courage to stand up against the GOP. That was a fun week.

  12. The sad part is folks use jokes like these in their reasoning to vote republican. Hey lets vote for the people fucking everything up because the other party just isn’t doing enough to stop them! Or lets not vote at all!

At this point if yall aren’t voting Democrat then you are the ones doing nothing to stop the Republicans.

  13. Nothing opens my checkbook wider than a strongly worded email!

  14. When you’re for the status quo but the status quo is different now you can’t truly fight against the status quo

  15. Sometimes, it feels like the big Democrats are just playing the part and are 100% fine with handing the keys over to the ruling class. Them

  16. How about sending a strongly worded letter, Chuck?

  17. The Democrats should have come out against far right ideology by making it illegal and censoring it the way Germany has done to prevent the rise of fascists again.

  18. I wholeheartedly agree. Impotent, feckless, weak minded fools incapable of meeting the moment. They have been all along. Playing checkers while the GOP played 3-dimensional chess. Abiding by a playbook and rules that have been totally disregarded by their adversaries. As much as I am outraged by this “administration”, I am fucking enraged by these useless sorry fuckers.

    End of rant. Thank you.

    Newsom and AOC.

  19. What feckless, apathetic, and bought leadership the Democrats have. At least the Texas Dems tried something .

  20. Can we get some women up in congress, some real leadership
