It’s a shame nobody will let this woman rest. Unless it’s William or Harry I have a hard time believing a lot of people talking about her are genuine. I say that because when it’s just people on the Internet, we’re most likely giving our honest opinion unless they’re trolling. But when people write stuff like this seems like a way to get easy clicks, which means easy money. She had such a beautiful heart and spirit. She was such a good person. I hope she’s at peace knowing her boys are OK. She deserved better than this.
She wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
The driver was drunk.
The driver was driving dangerously due to the paparazzi.
There’s no conspiracy here, just a tragedy.
wtf is a royal expert?
She was in the ambulance for 110 minutes. Nearly two hours.
Someone send Tom Sykes the Mitchell and Webb sketch
I respect Tom Sykes and am not going to nitpick his argument without having read it. But I find it tough to believe her death was intentional for two basic reasons: (1) it’s difficult in the extreme for a secret plan involving more than one person to remain secret, and many many people would have had to be involved here; and (2) there are much simpler and more reliable ways to have someone killed than trying to arrange a car crash.
I can’t imagine how painful this is to Harry and William every time this crops back up in the news.
Drunk driver, no seat belts and the worst place to have an accident.
Henri Paul should have been posthumously charged with manslaughter, if not murder.
I really dislike how they turn a tragic accident into a conspiracy. It’s been decades. Let the woman rest in peace
I agree with him that there are too many unanswered questions. First of all:
– a white car hit the car Diana was in – clipping it at the side. All the earlier news reports documented this.
– the driver was said to be James Andanson, who later died in a burnt-out car that was ruled as a suicide. But James said at the inquest he was not driving the car, and produced receipts as proof that he nowhere near Paris
– there are conflicting reports about the alcohol in the drivers blood as Tom Sykes outlines. Experts gave evidence at the inquest that the reported alcohol level taken from different samples, made no scientific sense i.e. the blood level of alcohol in her eyes should have been different from samples taken elsewhere, but it was not.
– As Tom Sykes says, the very quick embalming of Diana’s body left no opportunity for other tests. I remember it being reported in newspapers at the time, this was usual in France. But in reality, France is no different to the UK in this matter. Embalming is carried out so relatives can view the body. But in a crime investigation, there would normally be a delay to assist the investigation.
I am not saying that Diana was murdered. What I am saying is that there are still unanswered questions. So I understand why Tom Sykes came to his conclusion.
This was always one of those conspiracy theories I didn’t believe but wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out to be true (if that even makes sense). They’ve been over everything so many times and always come up with nothing. It’s going to come up every August until no one living remembers her.
Diana’s death was so random, so unfair, such a shocking end to a story that so many of us followed so closely for so many years, it’s not surprising that these sorts of conspiracy theories have proliferated over the decades.
If her death was the work of dark forces who saw her as a threat to the status quo, it ties her to the long, dark history of the monarchy, where problem/unruly women were sometimes disposed of. It’s a better story, and it adds some meaning to her death.
In reality, sometimes people just…die young. It’s not fair. It has no meaning. It just happens.
This reminds me of the Mitchell and Webb skit on the Diana assassination. Hysterical.
