  3. Yes, billionaires pay a lower tax rate than they should. But how the hell did this study come up with the average tax rate for Americans is 30%? You have to be making $191,000 a year to even hit a bracket that is over 30% and that’s before you even factor in deductions. Nobody making less than 100,000 is even paying 20% in federal income taxes after the standard deduction.
