Ukraine admits Russian army has entered central Dnipropetrovsk region, fighting ongoing

1. I guess their strategy is slowly paying dividends.

[…] We do not aim at high rates of advance, we take care of every soldier and methodically ‘grind’ the advancing enemy.”** He uses the term **meat grinder**.

   Every battle has followed the same pattern.

   Russia secured the flanks around some city or town Ukraine won’t retreat from, then they pummel the defenders from 3 sides.

   Overtime, gaps open up in the Ukrainian line and the Russians walk right through.

2. The inevitable happen. Ukraine losing more and more land with each passing time. Shouldn’t listen to western politician and made a deal with russia ASAP.

3. They have been in Dnipro oblast for a while, Ukraine is just slow to admit it, and Russia is quick to announce it.

   It’s the usual pattern. Russia announces seized territory. Ukraine denies strongly claiming some outskirts still under their control. Then as Russia completely cleans out the territory it becomes very painfully obvious and only then Ukraine admits losing control of the territory. The lag is around 2 weeks between Russian announcement and final Ukrainian admittance.

   The other way around used to be when Ukraine was advancing.
