I am not sure this is allowed here so we’ll see. There is a car abandoned on Tűzoltó utca in Budapest with a polish license plate. It has been there for almost a year now, the last parking ticket bought for it is for last November.

It is wierd and hungarian authorities does not seem to care about it.

  1. It seems it belongs/belonged to Panek. Back in last decade it was the 2nd biggest carsharing company in Poland but they went bankrupt a year or two ago. Interesting how this car ended up in Budapest. Maybe stolen or they just got rid of it?

  2. This could be the car of our former minsters of the order in Poland Marcin Romanowski. He escaped after being charged of the involvement into corruption during Law and Order reign. He probably stole 40 mln Polish złoty that is equivalent of 10 mln euro.

  3. I don’t understand how in some cases cars get towed after being in the wrong parking spot for just 15 minutes, but in other cases there’s literal abandoned cars sitting on the side of the road for months on end.

  4. Last time I visited Budapest 7 years ago, the parking machine didn’t accept card payments, so I got two parking tickets within half an hour XD they never reached Poland though.
