  1. Don’t do it. These guys knew what they were singing up for. And if they didn’t they should have.

  2. If we’re going to do anything to free these people while there is an active conflict in Ukraine. Then it should be to go to war with Russia. The world will not be a safe place while Russia exists. We need to deconstruct it.

Then maybe go on to several other oil states around the world that are corrupting our leaders with invitations to their shag palaces.

  3. As a rule of thumb, what you’ve been doing in the last couple of month is what you’d have been doing in 1939 when Hitler decided to storm through Europe. These two guys have been out there fighting neo-fascist imperialists and they’ve clearly put up one hell of a fight. They’re registered soldiers in the Ukrainian Army, not mercs or right-wing militia. Anything less than respect for them I think is rather pathetic.

  4. Swapping two squaddies for a high profile Putin loyalist like Viktor Medvedchuk doesn’t sound like a great bargain.

  5. By this logic lets exchange 2 russian soldiers(borrowed from Ukraine) for a russian oligarch.

If you wanna do a deal, it’s gotta be fair both ways. Something Putin never really seems to grasp.

  6. He is a member of the Ukrainian parliament – not just some Putin ally, What’s the comparison here? Why don’t we just send them Corbyn.
