Yeah, it’s not about fixing the immigration issue

  1. When are we going to ban political memes? I’m no flagshagger but this sub is currently just an endless stream of repetitive weak memes

  2. So sad the UK is being hijacked by racists like what happened to Germany in 1933AD.

  3. Nobody trusts the uni-party because they got us into this mess and it’s not in the interest of them and their cronies interests to solve the structural issues at the source – which is existing treaties and laws that have to be modified replaced or repealed to serve interests of British citizens

  4. You of course can find hundreds of gammons saying that we hate brown people

  5. 1. UK is an island country unlike the US which has border, it’s extremely easy to fix immigration issues.

    2. Introduce Entry-Exit systems, which prevent overstaying visa’s. Done. It’s already being implemented by the EU.

    3. Strengthen security measures on boats and cars/lorries. Done. Just add extra measures to check inside the vehicles, and as for boats the UK is a tiny country that’s an island, and for people who don’t know the sea is actually incredibly well controlled.

  6. Davey’s proposals wouldn’t cut numbers, so still leaves working class wages being squeezed.  We need to stop giving visas to petrol station attendants and Deliveroo drivers.

  7. I hate the issue has become politicised and tensions inflamed to the point where people can’t even have a meaningful conversation about it. Of course there is no place for racism or xenophobia and using “nationalism” or “patriotism” as an excuse is horrible. Human history has been and always be influenced by immigration and there’s simply no way of meaningfully stopping it altogether unless some draconian methods of enforcement were used and that would be blatant violation of international law. We can and should take in refugees who genuinely need help and are fleeing war or persecution in their home country and I’d argue it’s our civic duty to do so as a wealthy nation responsible for a lot of current geopolitical events be it directly or indirectly throughout the history of the British Empire. Being an island nation and not sharing a land border with anyone we hardly get as many immigrants as other countries like France or Germany do. Our geography insulates us from many problems facing Europe and it’s very hard if not impossible for them to come over here (pun intended). Yes there are systemic issues facing society with jobs and housing affordability but these aren’t caused by immigrants. The real problem lies with the wealthy people and corporations who are actively exploiting people for their own gain and costing us our future. They are purposefully (through the media) trying to sow fear in the population by weaponising immigrants because it serves their agenda. They don’t want people to see them for who they truly are. This isn’t some fringe conspiracy theory but an actual fact based on evidence and historical context. To quote the MP Zarah Sultana, “the true enemy of the working class travels by private jet not across the channel in the dinghy”

  8. “Making the process easier to navigate”

Yeah just let the cunts in, that’s called fixing the issue now. Genius.

  9. This sub needs to bad posts from new accounts.

  10. They haven’t engaged in the immigration issue at all. They’re not even aware of what’s happening now. They put forward no reasonable, workable ideas . They’re just hateful .

What a depressing time to be alive

  11. No, it is about fixing it.

You can try and use the race card, but when they are raping 8 year old girls, enough is enough

  12. Just letting more people in isn’t fixing the immigration issue. Most people want the boriswave reversed. Their presence here makes life for literally everyone worse except the billionaires and corporations who want an endless supply of cheap exploitable labour and the politicians who are in the pockets of said billionaires and corporations.

The fact of the matter is there was never a national referendum on immigration. The British people were never asked, and time and time again they have voted overwhelmingly anti-immigration. Part of the rationale for the 14 years of Tories and Brexit was to reduce immigration, as much as both of those backfired.

If the British left and centre want to remain relevant, they need to pull their fingers out about immigration and admit that ~1m arrivals per year, as we’ve had since 2023, is completely unsustainable. A good example of this is the Danish left, who went hard on anti-immigration and completely took the wind out of the sails of their populist right. Its not that everyone in Britain suddenly woke up after a particularly vivid dream about Hitler and wanted to all vote right, the average person is being forced to vote right because nobody else is even pretending to listen.

People aren’t voting for Reform and Farage because they’re a good party full of high calibre politicians, people are voting for them because every other party has failed at tackling immigration and thusly they represent the ultimate anti-immigration protest vote. People are voting Reform as a compromise, through gritted teeth, in spite of Farage rather than because of him.

There’s a reason Reform are currently blasting in the polls, and that’s because no other party is willing to do what the majority of the public actually want about the single biggest political issue of the nation. That’s just the situation, and unfortunately no amount of screaming of “Fascist!” or “Racist!” or “Flag stagger!” from the left is enough to change anyone’s mind any more.

  13. Anyone who thinks we can vote our way out of problems is deluded

  14. The thing I hate about Reform is they’re the only party “promising” to repeal the Online Safety Act.

And voting Reform is just a dumb as piss concept but an annoying one that might have to be done by those whom don’t want to send their government issued ID to foreign companies just to access anything the government considers harmful to children. Which right now, is suicide prevention resources by the way. You need to pass an ID check to access those because of the OSA.

Every other party has either stayed silent on the OSA, or branded those whom are against the OSA as Savile Defenders and Paedos as a whole.

Shit sucks that fascists are the only party even feigning respect for privacy just to get votes.
