In the Caucasus, Europe lies to the North Caucasus and northwards into European Russia, while the South Caucasus lies at the beginning of West Asia in the Caucasus. From the South Caucasus towards the Southwest, with the Arabian Peninsula being the furthest Southwest region of West Asia. Iran is the most eastern, Georgia and Turkey are the most northern, and Turkey is the most western part of West Asia, but so are coastal Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, and Cyprus.
Australia and other non European countries should not participate in Eurovision imo. Also Cyprus is definitely europe

Lebanon and Iran also played in EuoBasket. Apparently Egypt wasn’t half bad in the late 40’s, 1 win and a 3rd place.
